From time to time we keep getting emails asking how to upload our designs. Uploading our designs is no different than uploading any file to the server. On this tutorial we will explain how to connect your computer to your ftp server using your "My Network Place."
You will be able to drag and drop your file from your desktop to your host.

Requirements:
- Internet connection
- Hosting account:
- A username and password to login to your account.

Lets begin.

  1. If you look at your desktop, you will see something similar as above screen shot.
You should see the "My Network Place" icons on your desktop.
If you do not see "My Network Place", right click your desktop > Properties
Click Desktop Tab at the top
At the bottom click "Customize Desktop".
You will be prompted with a pop window

    Select My Network Places.

Assuming by now you have "My Network Place" icons on your desktop.

Double click "My Network Place".

1. On the left side click "Add a Network place", you will be prompted with screen shot. click Next

2. Choose Another Network Location

3. Type your Ftp Address Location.
If you are not sure you need to ask your hosting company for the address.
Click view sample to see different address location, generally you'll need to type your address
ftp://ftp.yourdomain.com, click Next

Deselect "log on anonymously", click Next
Type your user name. click Next

5. Now create a name for your network, type "Mysite" for example.

6.When you click "Finish", your computer will try to connect to your host.
You will be prompted with a log on window. see below screen shot.

  1. Type your username and password.
  2. If you correctly input your username and password, you should be able to see your folder on your host account. Similar to the screen shot below, for the tutorial we use 5sec domain.

Congratulations you are connected to your host server.
It depends on your hosting account, you will find many different folders. One of which is the public_html folder.

Double click public_html

This folder will consist all the files and folders that are necessary for anyone to see your site.
By default when you sign up for hosting account your index.html, images folder, cgi-bin folder have been created for you.
Your index.html is the page which anyone will see if they go to http://www.yourdomain.com./index.html

If you already download one of free design, drag all the files into the public_html folder.
That's it! You just published your website.
